New Mickey Mouse caper for Hong Kong Disneyland's 10th anniversary

The original cartoon mouse will join a host of characters from other Disney stories in a new adventure, writes Christy Choi

It's the classic Buzzfeed quiz: which Disney character are you? A beard-stroking schemer like Jafar? A Cinderella-style dreamer? Or the life of the party, a la Aladdin's blue Genie?

To celebrate Disney's most beloved heroes, heroines and villains, and to mark Hong Kong Disneyland's 10th anniversary, the theme park is on Tuesday launching a new show, .

The "epic" extravaganza will feature 22 original costume designs, and the theme song of the 10th-anniversary celebrations: .

A far cry from his days on , the show sees the mouse that started it all for Walt Disney join pals Goofy and Olaf, the snowman of fame, in a 25-minute romp into an enchanted book.

Along the way, the trio will meet those two wiley rascals Baloo and King Louie, of , and three lovely leading ladies: Rapunzel of fame, Ariel from and Merida, the feisty, arrow-shooting princess from . Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie, from the sultanate of Agrabah, and Tiana, heroine of the enchanting tale of , also make an appearance.

For the grand finale, Mickey, Goofy and Olaf end up in the warmth-loving snowman's own tale - - with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. A rendition of must surely feature …

For Christmas, the theme park is also creating a Fairy Tale Forest featuring scenes from , and , which will open next month.
