Greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and violent rivalry - no, it's not Game of Thrones, but the 10-episode second series of Marco Polo, which will be available on Netflix from July 1. Based on the Venetian explorer's adventures in Kublai Khan's court in 13th-century China, the series tells of the cut-throat battles fought around the expanding Mongol empire. New to the English-language series is Michelle Yeoh Choo Kheng, who joins returning cast members Joan Chen (as Empress Chabi) and Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan).
