Fashion radar picks up relaxed Raey ensembles; Kotur's textured clutches

Daniel Kong

On the defensive Cultures around the world have long believed certain precious and semi-precious stones hold magical powers. From "protective" jade to "mind clarifying" quartz, various materials hold a special place in many people's hearts. So, if you're looking for a mood-lifter, spiritual bodyguard or are just in need of some good old retail therapy, take a look at Cartier's Amulette de Cartier collection. On our wish list are the ring with pink opal and diamond (above right; HK$21,300) and the bracelet with malachite and diamond (above left; HK$15,800). Cartier is in Prince's Building, Central.

Finding an outfit that is both trendy and comfortable can be a challenge. Cue Raey, whose spring collection focuses on luxury essentials in relaxed fits and a neutral colour palette. Our favourites include the pink ensemble of textured-weave coat (HK$5,915), scoop-neck satin top (HK$1,192) and triangle skirt (HK$3,479; all above left), and the grey collarless jacket (HK$5,467), satin cami top (HK$1,192) and linen skirt (HK$3,926; all above right). Raey is available at matchesfashion.com.

Clutch of the day Hong Kong-based bag label Kotur has embraced an organic approach, experimenting with woven and embellished raffia for a more natural and textured look. We're loving the Hola Espey (above left; HK$5,100) and the Ciao Morley (above right; HK$4,700). Kotur is available at koturltd.com.
