The price of gold might be falling, but Porsche Design's gold smartphone P'9981, available in a limited 25 worldwide, still seems a sought-after investment, especially if you are a fan of the German marque.

The smartphone, in collaboration with BlackBerry, gets a luxurious boost with its sleek stainless steel case coated with gold-coloured titanium, finished with a 24ct gold layer on top. Its camera cover on the backside is milled from a solid block of 24ct gold. And did we mention its hand-wrapped leather back, too? The powerful gadget runs on 1.2GHz processor and BlackBerry 7.1 OS. It is available at selected Porsche Design stores.
