Drawn to fun

 

Models beware! Hip fashion illustrations are taking over The Swank's upcoming autumn/winter campaign. The multibrand high-fashion house's campaign for the new season features fun illustrations by artist Ashley Wood. The award-winning Australian illustrator is most famous for his participation in creating one of the world's first digital comics, entitled Metal Gear Solid.

Although Wood's usual subjects are the likes of gunmen and robots, he has opted for a softer and lighter approach for The Swank campaign, dressing his subjects with the latest fashion from brands, including Dion Lee, MSGM, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kenzo and Balmain. Wood says the collaboration was fun, as he saw himself as an artist with no specific discipline.
