WHAT: CLEARAUDIO STATEMENT TURNTABLE AND TONEARM
HOW MUCH: ABOUT HK$2.2MILLION

WHY: From its futuristic look to its state-of-the-art sound amplifying technology, there's nothing overly nostalgic about the Statement turntable, except perhaps its analogue playback feature.

The 350kg giant is not your average portable iPod or MP3 player. The turntable sits on top of a specially designed integrated stand. The stand consists of four stainless steel legs and eight curved supporting plates made of steel and laminated wood - also used in bullet-proof vehicles.

The top platform, which holds the turntable, is self-levelled by the structure, including a steel pendulum weighing more than 80kg. In addition to the supporting structure, tonearms exclusively designed for the turntable provide stability and optimise sound playback features, including soundstage, image, transient response, bass and resolution.

Another cool feature that you'll undoubtedly want to show off to your friends is the turntable's patented magnetic-driven, hovering subplatter which has no contact with the main platter. You can also easily control playback speed with a single push of a button, displayed real-time on an LCD screen. Clearaudio's team of professionals will fly anywhere across the world to install and fine-tune the turntable to its utmost perfection.
