Cheers to charity

It’s a bidding war! Marguerite Lee is happy to help charity as she holds her hand up high

EVENT Castiglion del Bosco Annual Charity Gala
WHERE Four Seasons Hotel, Central

Happenings: Fine dining, wining and raising money are the ingredients to a successful gala dinner, and Italian winery Castiglion del Bosco had all three when it hosted its first charity event. Guests, including actress Carina Lau, model Godfrey Gao and other VIPs such as Eliza Fok, Ming Ho-Tang and Marguerite Lee, sampled a range of fine wines paired with traditional Chinese food. Maria Sole Ferragamo, niece of Massimo Ferragamo, who owns the winery, wowed guests as she belted out famous tunes, such as Bob Marley's and The Beatles' not to mention a song from her native Italy. Her performance was followed by an auction which raised about HK$3.4 million for the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.

Godfrey’s helping out with the auction. I would bid even if he was auctioning a blank piece of paper!

CHIC CHAT with Maria Sole Ferragamo

Are you enjoying Hong Kong?
I like it a lot. I visited Hong Kong once before more than four years ago. But this time I got to explore the city a bit more.

Do you have any favourite food and wine combinations?
I am more interested in the food aspect and like very simple food from the countryside and home-cooked meals.

Your performance was amazing. Is singing one of your passions?
It’s one of my strongest passions. I was very excited about performing.

Can you share your New Year’s resolutions with us?
I’m on a gap year at the moment, so my new year’s hopes are to clear out my mind, I will find the right way for myself and figure out what I want to do.
