Remember our story on minaudieres last May? The newly opened Liang Yi Museum on Hollywood Road is housing an exquisite collection of the jewelled boxes mentioned in our feature. The exhibition has creations by Cartier, Boucheron and Van Cleef & Arpels.
Curator Meredith Etherington-Smith, whom we interviewed last year, is a journalist, editor, author and publisher who specialises in fine and decorative contemporary and historical arts, fashion, architecture and interior design.
The non-profit museum, intended to be the city's first world-class private museum, offers more than 20,000 square feet of exhibition space. It will also showcase the world's largest collection of Chinese antique furniture.
