Following the success of its jungle-themed party in Paris earlier this year, Roger Vivier moved the celebrations to Hong Kong for the brand's spring/summer 2014 launch. Guests were surrounded by lush, exotic greens and props such as multicoloured parrots, a tiger and a horse as they sipped Champagne, nibbled on canapes and previewed the new Vivier's Codes collection, which was inspired by nature. They also enjoyed live jazz music and had fun printing Instagram pictures from a photo-booth machine.

Actresses, fashionistas and socialites, including Gaile Lai, Jennifer Tse, Anina Ho, Antonia Li and Helen Ma, and model-turned-pâtissier Amanda S showed up to support the event. Also spotted at the party were Jaime Ku - taking a night off mummy duty - and hubby Benedict Ku.

OVERHEARD I feel like I’m in a real-life version of Aladdin. Does that make me Princess Jasmine?

What are your spring and summer style tips?
It’s hard because the weather and seasons don’t really match anymore. I’m wearing fur [tonight], and it’s March.

Anything exciting coming up for your company Buzz Concepts?
It’s Volar’s [club] 10th anniversary this year. It’s crazy.

That’s quite a milestone. How has the journey been for Buzz?
We started out as just a F&B firm, then we were asked to do some PR work. Now we are a full-blown PR firm as well. It’s been busy, but great.

How do you balance work and family?
I have a good support system. My husband [Benedict] is quite hands-on, and so are our parents. I don’t think I could have done all this without them.
