Valentino has opened a new flagship store on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue. It is the second Valentino boutique in the United States which carries the brand's men's collection.

The 20,000 sq ft shop features an innovative store concept developed by creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, in collaboration with David Chipperfield Architects.

The store features a modern eight-storey slim and transparent façade composed of black steel and aluminium. Customers can get a view of the entire boutique from an eight-metre-high atrium, which connects to all levels with a sculptural stair.

The store mixes a brand-new accessories concept and a new men's store concept with a traditional women's store concept. To celebrate the grand opening, a limited-edition pair of sneakers will be sold this month.
