Often referred to as a futuristic designer, Nicolas Ghesquière quips that for him, “the future is now”. Ghesquière’s S/S 16 collection for Louis Vuitton certainly transported us to the future.

1. The show itself, which took place at Louis Vuitton Fondation, was decked out to be a piece of installation art. A video snippet that shows the video game Minecraft merged reality with the cyber frontier. Other back-to-the future-like references include Tron: Legacy and even Wong Kar-wai’s 2046.

2.Looks are original, hi-tech yet extremely palpable. The taffeta skirt cut at the perfect length to show a bit of leg is cool and elegant and is possibly one of the most Instagrammed looks.
