EVENT Burberry British Heritage and Craftsmanship Celebration
WHERE Burberry Flagship Store, Pacific Place

HAPPENINGS: Folks at Burberry know the key of festive gifting is to be personal. The British fashion house kick-started the holiday season at its flagship store in Pacific Place. Work stations were set up to demonstrate the craftsmanship behind Burberry's iconic heritage trench coats and made-in-Scotland scarves. A skilled calligrapher was booked to create personalised gift cards for guests. More than 580 guests attended the party. The stellar guest list includes celebrities and socialites, such as Joey Yung, Aarif Rahman, Pakho Chau, Wyman Wong, Feiping Chang and Antonia Li. British singer Clare Maguire and DJ Arthur Bray entertained the crowd.

OVERHEARD These personalised cards are so beautiful- they make me want to sign up for calligraphy classes.

What's your autumn-winter must-have?

Definitely a cape or a poncho.

Do you think it works for petite figures too?

It's a very versatile piece you can both dress up and dress down with. Wear it with thigh-high boots or skin-tight pants.

Do you like personalised gifts?

I love scarves with monogrammed initials on them. I got two last year and I think I'm going to get another one this season.

What's the best gift you've received so far?

My boyfriend gave me a customised jewellery box with xoxoFei - my website logo - on it.
