Online luxury fashion retailing website NET-A-PORTER is launching the first exclusive Gucci capsule collection, consisting of 20 pieces of ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories.

Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele has drawn inspiration from nature to present a series of retro designs. The collection's central motif is a rose print inspired by a 19th century tapestry, and its pattern is interpreted on a three-quarter-sleeve scarf blouse with pearl GG buttons; a pleated skirt with nude lining; and a reversible cashmere and merino wool cardigan.

The collection's accessories include the Dionysus shoulder bag, flat mules, a high-heel pump and the Ace sneaker. Other designs include a striking Heron print on a neoprene sweatshirt. Its craftsmanship is highlighted by delicate embroidery on items such as a pair of bleach-washed denim jeans; a sleeveless silk organdy dress; a woollen-pleated skirt adorned with floral patterns; and a butterfly-motif-embellished wool sweater.
