Inside Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade Giannulli’s romance: the Kissing Booth actor and YouTuber have been dating on and off since 2021 – he’s even been on holiday with her convicted criminal parents
While Jacob Elordi’s acting career has skyrocketed in recent years, he’s kept his personal life mostly under wraps.
The Australian actor, who most recently starred in Saltburn and Priscilla, has seen his fame increase since his breakthrough role in The Kissing Booth in 2018. But since late 2021, following his break-up with model Kaia Gerber, Elordi has been romantically linked to Olivia Jade Giannulli.
Giannulli is a YouTuber who’s also known for competing on Dancing With the Stars. Her parents – Full House star Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli – were sentenced to two and five months in prison, respectively, after pleading guilty in the college admissions scandal, admitting to paying US$500,000 to guarantee their daughters – Olivia Jade and her older sister Bella – would be admitted to the University of Southern California.

Elordi and Giannulli have never confirmed or discussed their reported relationship. But their public appearances help piece together a timeline of the pair’s mostly private (and reportedly on-and-off) relationship.

December 19, 2021: Elordi and Giannulli are first publicly linked
In December 2021, British media published photos of Elordi and Giannulli getting coffee in Silver Lake, a neighbourhood in Los Angeles. The pair were seen together, along with some other friends, a month after Elordi’s split from Kaia Gerber.
Days after they were spotted together, People published conflicting reports on their relationship status. While one anonymous source told the publication that they were “casually dating”, another said that wasn’t true.
May 24, 2022: Reports emerge that they’re dating
In May last year, Us Weekly reported that the pair were officially dating.
Life & Style also reported that the pair were dating, and that based on photos obtained by the publication, Giannulli was spotted leaving Elordi’s house a day prior.

August 19, 2022: They reportedly break up
Life & Style first reported that the pair were no longer dating, citing an anonymous source. “They were never official but have gotten close earlier this summer and enjoyed spending time together,” the source said.
Then Us Weekly, again citing anonymous sources, said that while the pair had “enjoyed spending time together”, they had nevertheless broken up.
“He’s not looking for a serious relationship at the moment,” Us Weekly’s source said.
September 22, 2022: Elordi and Giannulli are seen walking his dog together in LA
But lo and behold, not long after they’d reportedly parted ways, the pair were photographed in a park in Los Angeles wearing matching blue ensembles, walking Elordi’s dog Layla.
May 8, 2023: Elordi and Giannulli show some PDA in Los Angeles
Teen mag J-14 reported that the couple had broken up once again in February 2023.
But just three months later, Just Jared published photos of the pair waiting for a car together in Los Angeles, with one showing Elordi with his arm around Giannulli, seemingly indicating that they were back on.

June 11, 2023: Elordi and Giannulli visit New York City together
British media published photos of the pair walking around New York’s SoHo district, including one showing Elordi with his arm over Giannulli’s shoulder. They both wore hats and sunglasses, while he wore a face mask.
June 16, 2023: The pair holiday together in Italy
People magazine reported that Elordi and Giannulli went on holiday together in Paraggi, Italy. According to the publication, the two were photographed resting in chairs together on the beach, and were later seen riding on a moped in town.
Giannulli shared photos of the trip on her Instagram, but nothing in them indicated that Elordi was there with her.
July 2023: People reports that the two are officially back together
An anonymous source told People that the couple were together, and were “getting serious”. The magazine reported in July that they went on holiday together again to Lake Coeur d’Alene in Idaho with Giannulli’s parents, Mossimo and Lori, in July.
“Jacob had to leave early to fly back to Australia, but they looked like they had a great time together,” the anonymous source told People.

November 16, 2023: The pair both attend the GQ Men of the Year party but walk the red carpet separately
The latest twist? Both Elordi and Giannulli attended GQ’s 2023 Men of the Year party, after Elordi was one of the magazine’s Men of the Year cover stars, but the pair did not walk the red carpet as a couple.
They nevertheless both looked fabulous, with Elordi in a Bottega Veneta suit, and Giannulli wearing a sequinned navy Chanel suit.
