Sacha Baron Cohen is clapping back at Rebel Wilson after the Australian actress claimed the Borat star tried to stop the release of her upcoming memoir, Rebel Rising, per CNN. The book is set for release on April 2.

“I will not be bullied or silenced with high priced lawyer or PR crisis managers,” Wilson said on her Instagram stories on Monday. “The ‘a******’ that I am talking about in one chapter of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen.”

Wilson previously made headlines when she wrote the following on social media, without naming Cohen: “He’s trying to stop press coming out about my new book. But the book will come out and you will all know the truth.”

The former co-stars previously starred in The Brothers Grimsby together in 2016, but it’s unclear exactly what the chapter will be about.

In response to the public statements, a rep for Cohen told CNN: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”

According to a 2016 interview with Marie Claire UK, Wilson spoke up about how she was asked to film a “full-frontal scene” for the film which she declined. “They got in another girl – this larger burlesque dancer from South Africa – to be a nude double. And they got her to do all this stuff. Sacha would go, “See, she looks good.” I’m like, I’m not doing it. I don’t care what you say.’ Though she did reveal she could be persuaded for a more serious movie,” she explained.

British actor Sacha Baron Cohen, 52, has been married to his wife, 48-year-old Aussie actress and writer Isla Fisher, since 2010. Fisher has starred in films including Wedding Crashers, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Nocturnal Animals and Keeping Up with the Joneses. She’s also had cameos in comedies such as Curb Your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development.

Cohen and Fisher’s love story dates back decades. According to People, the couple first met at a party in Sydney, Australia back in 2001. The Dictator actor told The New York Times about their first encounter, saying: “She was hilarious. We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party. I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did.”

Although they got engaged in 2004, Cohen and Fisher didn’t tie the knot until 2010, after Fisher converted to Cohen’s religion, Judaism, in 2007, per People. They had their nuptials in an intimate Jewish ceremony in Paris, France, according to People.

“We had a secret wedding in Paris,” Cohen told The New York Times. “The ruse was that it was my father’s 70th birthday and that he was a famous chef in England. That was how we avoided having photographers at the wedding. I trained him up to be in character. He said that his favourite dish that he created was L’oeuf Scrambled.”

Per Hello!, the couple share three children together – including two daughters and a son. Not much is known about the three and it’s likely to stay that way, as both parents have preferred to remain tight-lipped about their family, according to various sources.

“If you speak about your children or if you take them to a red carpet event, you can’t be litigious later on when there is a picture of them in something and say, ‘hey, they deserve anonymity,’ but they do,” Fisher told Today in 2017. “They have rights, too. It’s a very conscious decision and truly I would feel really disgusting about myself if I used my family to sell something. It wouldn’t sit right with me. It doesn’t line up with my values.”
