Verdict: Gucci’s ready-to-wear and accessories have been on a hit streak ever since Alessandro Michele took over as creative director.
In this bag-to-end-all-bags by the brand, we get a touch of all their signature details – from the exotic python skin to the tiger head spur and bamboo handle. These details are why – at a price tag of HK$39,000 – the Gucci python bag is an investment piece.
The bag comes with two detachable shoulder straps that allow you to mix-and-match for different occasions, but the bamboo handle itself cannot be carried as a shoulder bag.
The bag is not for everyone, especially not for those who want a bag that’s light in weight. But the python's perfect curve and hand-painted edges may just be worth the weight.
