Jaeger-LeCoultre’s iconic Memovox – the maison’s earliest automatic alarm watch – marks its 60th anniversary this year. To celebrate the occasion, the maison has dreamt up an exclusive edition of the timepiece that reinterprets the Memovox’s iconic design from the 1970s with a contemporary twist.
“Memovox” is essentially a play on words, shortening the phrase “the voice of memory” into one word. The new design retains the classic smooth lines and vintage blue-tinted styling on the dial, both features heavily influenced by the Memovox Snowdrop. The watch, limited to 500 pieces, also boasts a “1000 Hours Control” symbol at the back, which certifies the watch has undergone 1,000 hours of testing.
