Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons launches at the Louvre – and guests get to dine alongside Mona Lisa

Louis Vuitton’s new collection of accessories – designed in collaboration by Jeff Koons – launched yesterday at the Louvre Museum to a stellar crowd.

Koons is the latest in a list of artists to work with the luxury brand that includes Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, Yayoi Kusama, Stephen Sprouse, Cindy Sherman, James Turrell, Olafur Eliasson and Daniel Bure.

High profile guests dined alongside the Mona Lisa while toting bags depicting the legendary work by Leonardo Da Vinci.

In the series, titled “Masters”, Koons’ large-scale reproductions of classic masterpieces are transposed on Louis Vuitton bags, such as Speedy, the Keepall and the Neverfull.
