Beats by Dr. Dre has teamed up with a number of artists and designers to bring the sweetest of harmonies to your ears. Here are five of the audio brand’s most successful collaborations.
Working with LINE FRIENDS, Beats by Dr. Dre has created a special edition of the popular Solo3 Wireless on-ear headphones. The ursine character Brown is printed on a matte black headband with soft white ear cushions and polished metallic gold accents. This special edition collection is available at Apple Store in Hong Kong from August 3 and at Line Friends Retail Store Hong Kong from August 17.
A limited edition version of the brand’s Pill speaker was created in collaboration with American painter and graffiti artist Barry McGee and launched in the winter of 2015. Embellished with McGee’s signature geometric patterns and cartoon-style characters, the speaker features distinctive designs in a red and white colourway.
Beats by Dr. Dre and Fendi came together to design the Beats Pro headphones, launched in the winter of 2015. These are available in seven colours – white, black, grey, cyan, red fire, yellow sunflower, and true blue. The Beats Pro headphones come wrapped in Fendi’s luxurious Selleria leather, emblazoned with the iconic FF and Fendi Roma logos. Each edition is custom-made with its own matching leather case.
French design house Balmain teamed up with Beats by Dr. Dre last month to create two sets of limited edition wireless Bluetooth headphones – Beats Studio and Powerbeats 3. Reality TV star Kylie Jenner made an appearance to promote both sets of headphones.
Beats and Alexander Wang got together once again to redesign the studio wireless over-ear headphones. The refashioned headphones feature crocodile-embossed Italian leather detailing in dove grey.
