Ahead of this year’s Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), Baume & Mercier gave STYLE a peek at two new watches they’re launching at the fair: the Clifton GMT Power Reserve and Promesse Moon Phase.

Designed with pilots in mind, the Clifton GMT marks the addition of a new complication that indicates a second time zone.

Similar to the collection’s Chronograph Complete Calendar, which appeared at SIHH 2016, the Clifton GMT Power Reserve has a 43 mm stainless steel case and shares the collection’s double bevel.

The sapphire crystal case back reveals the Soprod 9035 calibre and an oscillating weight decorated with côtes de Genève.

The self-winding movement has a power reserve of 42 hours, which is indicated at 6 o’ clock. The date display is at 3 o’clock, and the second date display is indicated at 12 o’clock.

Launched in 2014, the Promesse collection draws inspiration from the brand’s 1970s collection of women’s watches. This year’s addition is the Promesse Moon Phase, which features a quartz movement (Ronda 708) and four diamonds on the dial that are reminiscent of the night sky.

There are 30 more diamonds on the watch’s oval bezelthat form a parenthetical frame around a royal blue dial.
