Sichuan cancer patient prepares video wedding blessing for children
Thousands of people have shed tears over a video recorded by woman suffering from cancer and fearing imminent death, in which she prepares a message of blessing for the future weddings of her three children.
With the help of a friend, Li Shu, a mother from Langzhong city in Sichuan province, recorded the video from her hospital bed, according to Chengdu Commercial Daily, a local newspaper.
“At that time, I felt very bad. I didn’t expect too much from life. I was afraid I couldn’t attend their [my children’s] weddings,” Li told the newspaper.
Li had her womb removed after giving birth to triplets. When her daughters were three years old, she got stomach cancer, the newspaper reported.
The video of Li’s wedding blessing for her children was posted online on Thursday, under the account name of a hospital, generating more than 30,000 views.
