A woman’s eyes were accidently burned by ultraviolet lamps at a hospital in the capital, the Beijing Times reports. The woman went in for an intravenous drip, but during the procedure the nurse accidentally turned on an ultraviolet lamp, which is used to help sterilise areas of the hospital.

Eyes burned by lamp

A woman’s eyes were accidently burned by ultraviolet lamps at a hospital in the capital, the Beijing Times reports. The woman went in for an intravenous drip, but during the procedure the nurse accidentally turned on an ultraviolet lamp, which is used to help sterilise areas of the hospital.  Doctors said the effects were temporary and her eyes should heal in a few days.

Truck flattens van

A truck carrying concrete in the capital crashed and completely flattened a van, the Beijing Times reports. The truck driver lost control making a turn and smashed into the minivan yesterday morning. Nobody was injured.
