‘Zoo’ at shopping mall

A small zoo has been set up at a shopping mall in the capital to attract customers, The Beijing News reports. The animals on display include rabbits, alpacas and pigs. Staff said all the animals came from Haidian district in the capital and will stay at the mall until the beginning of October.

Stabbed at subway

A teenager died after two students got into an argument and one stabbed the other outside a subway station in the capital, The Beijing News reports. The fight started outside the Pingguoyuan station on Tuesday morning. Witnesses said the boy who died was aged about 17 and he was stabbed in the chest. The other boy was arrested at the scene as he waited next to the body for the police to arrive. The vice-chairman of the boys’ college said it was unclear what started the argument.
