The authorities in the municipality are considering making university students attend a course on setting up a business, the Chongqing Chen Bao reports. The proposal suggests they attend 32 hours of lessons, with classes on subjects such as creating a business plan and assessing commercial risk. About 10,000 students would also be given a small subsidy to be trained in business innovation.

A three-year-old girl from Wushan county has regained consciousness after being in a coma for a year, the Chongqing Chen Bao reports. She fell from the roof of a one-storey house and has brain injuries. Her mother has been at her bedside over the past year telling her stories and singing songs in the hope that it would help her recover. The family is now short of money after spending more than 400,000 yuan (HK$505,000) to pay for the girl's medical treatment.
