Timeline: trail of blood links Zhou Kehua to fatal robberies in three provinces

 

April 22, 2004 Zhou Kehua allegedly robs a bank in the Jiangbei district of Chongqing and shoots two women withdrawing cash, killing one and injuring the other. He escapes with 70,000 yuan.

May 16, 2005 Zhou allegedly shoots a couple and steals 170,000 yuan at a bank in Chongqing's Shapingba district. The gunman then targets a passer-by. Two die, one is injured.

March 19, 2009 A masked man shoots and kills a People's Liberation Army guard outside a garrison in the Shiqiaopu area of Chongqing. Police name Zhou as the suspect.

October 14, 2009 A man is shot dead with a home-made pistol at Nanjiao Park in Changsha , Hunan . Police pin it on Zhou.

December 4, 2009 A 41-year-old man is shot in the head after withdrawing cash in Changsha's Tianxin district. A man matching Zhou's description runs off with 45,000 yuan.

October 25, 2010 A man dies of a shot to the head in Changsha's Yuhua district and the gunman makes off with a laptop. Police say elements of the crime match those from the December 4 robbery.

June 28, 2011 A 48-year-old man dies after being shot in the head and waist getting out of his car in Tianxin district. Zhou is again a suspect.

January 6 Zhou is suspected in the shooting dead of a man who had just withdrawn 199,990 yuan from a bank in the Xiaguan district of Nanjing , Jiangsu province.

August 10 One person is killed and two are injured in a shooting outside a bank in Chongqing's Shapingba district. A railway officer is later shot dead. Zhou is again named as the prime suspect.
