Gas explosion at Yunnan coal mine leaves 17 dead

Debris is strewn around the closed Shangchang coal mine in Fuyuan, in the southwest Yunnan province, following an explosion on December 4. The gas blast left 17 people dead, state press said, in the latest accident to hit the industry.
