Quick-thinking passengers saved the life of a man who fell onto the tracks in a Beijing subway station.
Onlookers reacted as the motionless man lay injured on the track at Sihui Station by alerting the driver of an oncoming train who managed to stop in time. He was then pulled onto the station platform.
Pictures of the rescue were posted on internet sites including shanghaiist.com.
The man, who had blood on his face, was treated at the scene by paramedics.
