Four school children were killed in a stampede in China’s central Hubei province on Wednesday morning, according to local authorities.
The stampede happened around 6.15am at Qinji Primary School in Hubei’s Laohekou City. It left 11 students injured. Four of them died in hospital, said local authorities.
Earlier reports by state media said the deaths were caused by a dormitory gate collapsing.
