Ninety CPPCC delegates from the health sector proposed that the Ministry of Health keep its name, despite being merged with the National Population and Family Planning Commission (NPFPC), Xinhua reported. The delegates said the overlapping functions of the two ministries should be merged, but it was unnecessary to change the name to the National Health and Family Planning Commission, as proposed on Sunday. Former Bo Xilai aide joins grain authority
Xu Ming, a top aide of Chongqing’s disgraced former party boss Bo Xilai, was appointed deputy director of the State Administration of Grain by the State Council yesterday, Xinhua reported.
