SCMP Reporter

A PLA helicopter exploded in mid-air and crashed in Anji county in Zhejiang province around 7.10 pm yesterday, Xinhua and a provincial news portal reported.
Details remained sketchy but zjol.com.cn said the pilot was able to parachute out of the cockpit and there were no casualties on the ground.
The official weibo account of Anji county said the pilot's whereabouts remains unknown.
A picture published on the portal showed woods around the crash site in flames.
