Jailed former Chongqing Party chief Bo Xilai in good health, says son
Li Wangzhi also says that his father rejects a claim that he once tried to poison him

Bo Xilai, the former Communist Party chief in Chongqing serving a life sentence for corruption, is in good health, according to his eldest son.
Li Wangzhi said in a New Year post on his social media account on Thursday that Bo was fine, although he was receiving medical treatment for an unnamed condition.
The post was later deleted from Sina Weibo, China’s equivalent of Twitter. Li is Bo’s son by his first wife Li Danyu.
Li became estranged from his father after the former political high-flier, once tipped for office among China’s top leaders, married his second wife Gu Kailai.
She was given a suspended death sentence and was jailed two years ago for poisoning the British businessman Neil Heywood after she accused him of threatening her son in a row over a property deal.
Li said in his social media post that his father had also told him that he rejected allegations that Li had attempted to poison him and Gu.
“The idea that people said you wanted to poison me and Kailai has been put firmly on the shelf, it’s behind me. I never believed that,” Bo was quoted as saying.
