The securities regulators in their latest effort to stabilise the stock market have stipulated that investors who borrow shares must now wait one day to pay back the loans, preventing investors from selling and buying back stocks on the same day. (Bloomberg)
 

The Beijing municipal government will once again implement an odd-even vehicle restriction scheme ahead of two key events, including the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Japan’s surrender in the second world war. Between August 20 and September 3, roughly half of private vehicles will be banned from the roads on alternating days based on the digits on their number plates.
