Inside China’s party congress: what’s coming up at leaders’ huddle in Beijing

The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China gets under way in Beijing on Wednesday.

Expected to run for a week, the event will see a reshuffle of China’s top leadership and the setting of a new policy agenda for the next five years. On Tuesday afternoon, delegates and media assembled at the Great Hall of the People for a press conference held as a curtain-raiser to the main event.
