A man driving a Mercedes got into a shoving match with the police and cursed at them in English after he hit two cars stopped at a traffic light in China’s Henan province, mainland media have reported.

He was later found to be driving under the influence. According to photos and footage shown on local TV, the man grabbed a uniformed officer as he approached and shook him back and forth after getting out of his car in Zhengzhou, the Beijing Times reports.

He can be heard swearing in English and demanding the officer tell him his name.

A second officer arrives and they bring the man under control.

The driver hit the back of a car at the traffic stop, pushing it into the rear of a car in front.
