Surgeon removes tweezers from Chinese man’s stomach ... and finds three cigarette lighters

A surgeon in China removed a pair of tweezers a man had swallowed after arguing with his wife and also found three cigarette lighters in his stomach, according to a newspaper report.
The man, aged 42, had a row with his wife over the weekend over what TV programmes to watch, the Chutian Metropolis Daily said.
He played computer games at his home in Wuhan in Hubei province until after midnight and when the argument started up again swallowed the tweezers after threatening to do so.
The man, who was only identified by his surname Hua in the report, waited over a day before going to hospital, the report said.
The surgeon removed the tweezers and found the three lighters in his stomach, which had partially corroded.
“It’s really dangerous,” the surgeon was quoted as saying. The sharp head of the tweezers could have pierced through the man’s liver and the eroded lighters could have burned his stomach and bowels, he said.
