With a foot in each camp, Chinese-American university splits the difference with new building mismatching east with west
Facility in Henan province looks like the White House on one side and Tiananmen Square on the other

An international university in Henan province has a building that combines the most recognisable landmarks of Beijing and Washington, state-run Xinhua reports.
The building, located on the campus of Sias International University in Zhengzhou, has a northern side modelled after the White House, while its southern half copies Tiananmen Square, according to the report.
The “Washington Building” was designed by an American architect and houses the university’s administration, the report said.
The university, with 26,000 students, is owned by the American Sias Group and is a partnership between Zhengzhou University of Henan and Fort Hays State University of Kansas.
