Flamboyant Chinese boss takes luxury-car motorcade on road trip into harsh Tibetan Plateau, damaging half of them
The 29-year-old led his Ferrari and the 10 Maseratis he had earlier bought for his top salesmen through the hazardous Sichuan-Tibet highway on ‘self-promotion’ journey

The generous Chinese boss who made national headlines when he rewarded his best-performing salesmen with 10 Maseratis in January has again thrust himself into the media spotlight.
This time, Ni Haishan, from eastern Zhejiang province, organised a high-profile road trip leading a motorcade of the 10 Maseratis with his own Ferrari into the Tibetan Plateau through the Sichuan-Tibet highway – and causing six of the vehicles to break down in the process.
Photos posted on the 29-year-old’s weibo account showed a red Ferrari F12 and several other sedans being driven through water, rocky terrain and mud-caked dirt roads.
They also showed the Ferrari’s tyres badly worn out, with the rubber on one even entirely dislodging from the wheel and falling out on the road.
