Autistic Chinese boy, 4, dies after rehab centre’s long walks
Mother threatens to sue centre, known for its autism treatment, as authorities rule out foul play

Authorities in southern China have ruled out foul play in the death of a four-year-old autistic boy.
The boy, from Dandong in northeastern China’s Liaoning province, was found dead at a rehabilitation centre in Guangzhou last Wednesday, news portal chinanews.com reports.
His death came to light after a post, which claimed the boy died after an intensive long walk, went viral online.
The day before his death, he was forced to walk 10km in the morning and another 9km in the afternoon, according to the post.
The centre, founded in 2013, is known for its unique treatment for autism, in which children are required to dress in thick coats and walk between 10km and 20km a day.
