Police seize abandoned school bus from China’s Hunan province

Owner put up characters of ‘hearse’ on the vehicle to evade safety checks and seizure

Police have seized an abandoned empty school bus, whose insurance has expired, off the highway in Shaoyang city in China’s south central Hunan province.

The owner of the bus had put up a sign board in front of the vehicle, which displayed characters of ‘hearse’, in a bid to evade safety checks by the authorities, according to thepaper.cn.

A relative of the owner said that the vehicle was used by a local kindergarten.

Police have seized the bus for further checks.
