A man from central China’s attempt to paraglide to the feet of his girlfriend and propose to her went disastrously wrong when he was blown into a tree and got stuck in its branches, according to a newspaper report.

The man from Yichang in Hubei province, who was not named, attempted the romantic gesture on Saturday, the website of the People’s Daily reported.
