A workman in southwest China suffered multiple injuries after he fell into an escalator he was repairing and got trapped in the machinery, a newspaper reported.
The accident happened in a building near the Southwest University in Chongqing on Sunday, the Qilu Evening News said.

The escalator was still connected to a power source when the workman fell in, according to the report.
The man is now receiving treatment in hospital, the article said.
