Four people were killed on board a maritime patrol aircraft after it crashed in eastern China.
Debris from the plane was found on a mountain in islands in coastal Zhejiang province, the State Oceanic Administration said in a statement.
The plane had gone missing after carrying out a patrol in the East China Sea on Tuesday.
China to boost maritime presence in disputed sea zone
Two aircrew and two law enforcement officers were on board the aircraft when it crashed.
The plane came down about 23km away from Zhoushan airport.
Zhoushan is one of two prefecture-level cities in China located on islands. The other is Sansha in the South China Sea.
The disappearance of the aircraft prompted the oceanic administration to activate the highest level of emergency response.

Four helicopters and as many as 18 vessels were deployed in the search for the plane.
Debris was found on Daqing mountain in Zhoushan, the statement said.
An investigation is underway into what caused the crash.
