More than 6,000 pigs trapped in flood water in central China have been offered new hope of rescue.

A rescue team from the Xishang Group, which operates a food and agricultural business in Anhui province, visited the farm in Shucheng county, Luan, on Tuesday morning to try to bring them to safety, Anhui News reported.
