A woman in Shenzhen has been caught smuggling 15kg of gold from Hong Kong hidden around her waist, a news website reported.

Border guards noticed a woman acting suspiciously on Wednesday and, on further investigation, discovered she was carrying 15 bars of gold worth 4.5 million yuan (HK $5.2 million) and could not give a legitimate source. The gold bars, covered with yellow tape, were wrapped around her waist, Sina.com.cn reported.
