A man in eastern China who threatened to jump off a building nearly fell unintentionally after he had heatstroke and fainted when sitting on edge of a roof, according to a newspaper report.
The man had threatened to kill himself as he was in a dispute over covering his medical expenses after a work-related injury, the Modern Express reported.

The man, who was not named, warned he would jump off a warehouse in a county near Suzhou in Jiangsu province.

He was sat with one leg dangling over a parapet as rescuers approached on the rooftop and firefighters put an inflatable mattress below in he case jumped.

While rescuers were trying to talk the man out of suicide last Wednesday, he showed symptoms of heatstroke and his movements became unstable, the report said.
