Swimmer injured when helicopter crashes at Chinese scenic spot, all aboard survive

A helicopter crashed in the Nen River on Wednesday afternoon, injuring a swimmer, the Heilongjiang Morning Post reports.

The three people aboard the helicopter swam to safety after it crashed into the river in the Liuyuan scenic spot in Qiqihar. There were no details of the swimmer’s injuries.

The helicopter was operated by Wholeland General Aviation Company.

The crashed aircraft caught fire but firefighters quickly extinguished the fire on arrival at the site.

Liuyuan is a large beach that is popular for boating, swimming and barbecues during the summer.

The case is still under investigation.
