Chinese woman tourist found safe two days after she went missing in Thailand tiger zoo

Gao Liping, who roamed the forest outside the park for 48 hours, told rescuers that she was depressed over family matters and did not want to return to China

A Chinese tourist has been found safe and unharmed after she went missing on September 11 at a tiger park in Thailand, the China News Service reports.

Gao Liping, 35, from Shanxi province, was found about 4km from the Sriracha Tiger Zoo in the coastal resort city of Pattaya where she went missing.

Local residents found Gao washing her clothes on the bank of a canal.

Police sent Gao to hospital for examination and will question her later.

Gao told police she was “feeling down” because of family issues and did not want to return to China.
