A Chinese tourist has been found safe and unharmed after she went missing on September 11 at a tiger park in Thailand, the China News Service reports.
Gao Liping, 35, from Shanxi province, was found about 4km from the Sriracha Tiger Zoo in the coastal resort city of Pattaya where she went missing.

Local residents found Gao washing her clothes on the bank of a canal.
Police sent Gao to hospital for examination and will question her later.
Gao told police she was “feeling down” because of family issues and did not want to return to China.

She had gone to the zoo with a group of 39 tourists but never showed up after watching a crocodile show, tour guide Zheng Jinya recalled.
“She seems quite depressed throughout the tour,” Zheng said, adding that Gao did not speak to anyone the whole time.

Zheng alerted local police after waiting for Gao for half an hour after the crocodile show, according to the report.
More than 200 police and volunteers searched the zoo that night but there was still no trace of Gao the following day.

Gao told her rescuers that she breached the barbed-wire barrier of the zoo on the day she went missing and wandered around the forest outside without food for two days.
The local resident who found her immediately realised that Gao, who spoke only Chinese, was the missing tourist, and contacted the police.

Thai police said they had asked the Chinese embassy in Bangkok for assistance to help Gao return to China.
In July, graphic surveillance video from a safari animal park in Beijing captured the moment when a woman was attacked by a tiger after she left her car inside the big cat’s enclosure July, sparking a fierce debate on social media over whether tourists should be more conscious of their safety while travelling.
