The body of a 29-year-old female lawyer from Shenzhen who has been missing for more than a month was found by Shaanxi police at the foot of Huashan on September 9, mainland media reports.
The body at the foot of the mountain was badly decomposed, the police said.

Shenzhen lawyer Chen Wen went to Huashan on August 1 on her own and her family heard nothing more from her, according to the report by local media Cnwest.com.
Local police launched a massive search of Huashan and surrounding areas after Chen’s family reported her disappearance to them on August 29.
The police found the badly decomposed body of a woman on September 9 and compared its DNA with that of Chen. The police confirmed the body was Chen’s on September 18 after getting result of the DNA comparison.

The case is under investigation and further details have yet to be revealed, the police said.
Chen visited Yunnan province, Xizang and Xinjiang province in June, then flew to Xianyang, Shaanxi, from Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, on July 22, according to her cousin, named as Ms Cai.
Chen’s family lost contact with her after August 1 but some of her friends on instant messaging app WeChat were blocked shortly after, the report said.
