Chinese man loses 30,000 yuan cash in gust of wind ... but passers-by, bank staff help him recover all of it

A man in eastern China who had 30,000 yuan (HK$33,625) in banknotes blown away by a gust of wind managed to retrieve it all, thanks to help from passers-by and bank staff.

Yang Jiawang, a resident of Yancheng, Jiangsu province, left the cash at the entrance of a Postal Savings Bank branch in the rain while he parked his electric motorcycle, intending to deposit the money, the Modern Express reported.

He exclaimed when the gust blew the money across the pavement on Wednesday, which drew the attention of the bank staff and passers-by who braved the rain to help him pick up the 100-yuan banknotes, the report said.

After counting the cash, the man found all the money had been recovered and thanked those who helped him.
