Tigers tackle hi-tech intruder at Chinese wildlife park

Tigers at a wildlife park in southwest China pounced on and destroyed an airborne intruder into their enclosure on the weekend, state media reported on Sunday.

One of the big cats leapt about three metres into the air, knocking out a drone taking photos of the animals at Chongqing’s Lehe Ledu Theme Park on Saturday, China News Service reported.

Another tiger then destroyed the device valued at over 10,000 yuan (US$1,500), the report said.

The drone was operated by a photographer who had the park’s permission to take aerial pictures in the grounds.

The park is the biggest of its kind in southwest China.
